Position Overview
We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented individual for a Python Developer Internship position at Perspective Invest Ltd. As part of our dynamic team, you will have the opportunity to develop and implement cutting-edge financial software solutions that drive our business forward. Key Responsibilities
- Build and maintain data collection pipelines, including web scraping where appropriate (e.g., public websites), with attention to reliability, monitoring, and data quality.
- Build and maintain data visualization dashboards and web applications hosted on AWS.
- Work with HTML parsing and structured/unstructured data extraction to support research and analytics workflows.
- Analyze complex financial data to optimize algorithms and produce insightful reports.
- Develop, test, and maintain high-quality Python code, ensuring robustness, scalability and best practices.
- Integrate external data sources and APIs to enhance our data analytics capabilities.
- Document code and system functionalities for internal and external stakeholders.
- Stay up-to-date with the latest trends in Python development and finance to suggest innovative solutions and improvements.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define, design, and implement new modules and features in our financial software.
- Assist in troubleshooting and resolving software-related issues in a timely manner.

Qualifications
- Currently pursuing a degree or recent graduate in Computer Science or any other STEM field.
- Strong proficiency in Python programming, with a focus on data collection and processing pipelines.
- Understanding of clean coding procedures like PEP 8 and healthy production practices.
- Some familiarity with web automation tools like selenium, playwright, etc.
- Basic understanding of financial concepts and markets.
- Familiarity with databases (e.g., SQL) and data visualization tools (e.g., Matplotlib, Streamlit, Plotly).
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently and in a team-oriented environment.
- Effective communication skills, both written and verbal.

Preferred Skills
- Previous experience or coursework in finance software development.
- Familiarity with GitHub and Bloomberg.
- Familiarity with using APIs for data collection.
- Basic understanding of LLMs and LLM tools.
- Familiarity with AWS EC2.
- Knowledge of other programming languages or frameworks is a plus (e.g., R, Java, C++).
