Founding Python Engineer
London (Shoreditch) | 5 days onsite | Competitive Salary + Equity
One of the most exciting early-stage AI companies we're partnering with is looking to hire a Founding Python Engineer.
You'll join one of the first engineering hires, helping build autonomous AI systems that automate real-world operational workflows for one of the world's largest industries. This isn't a role where you'll inherit years of legacy code. You'll be building products from scratch, working directly with the founders, shipping features quickly and helping shape both the engineering culture and technical direction of the company.
What you'll be building
As one of the first engineering hires, you'll play a key role in designing and shipping AI products from the ground up. Your work will include:
- Building autonomous AI agents that handle complex workflows such as property management, tenant communications, contractor coordination and sales processes.
- Designing scalable backend services and APIs in Python, enabling AI systems to reason, make decisions and take actions across multiple platforms.
- Integrating with real-world systems including CRMs, email, WhatsApp and other communication tools to create seamless end-to-end automation.
- Developing production-ready AI features using modern LLMs, focusing on reliability, orchestration and real customer impact rather than proof-of-concepts.
- Working closely with the founders to shape product direction, influence technical architecture and ship features that reach customers within days.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.

- Confidence working across the stack when required, ideally with TypeScript and React/Next.js, although backend engineering remains the primary focus.
