A Python Developer is required by a leading trading institution and its Risk team.
Due to the rise in Agentic AI, this role has evolved to allow engineers to provide new tooling and recommendations proactively, rather than waiting. It’s a highly stimulating environment with significant growth opportunities in a stakeholder-driven setup.
You’ll thrive in a fast-paced, data-driven environment, building scalable tools to support traders and risk analysts. This role offers a chance to shape system architecture and tech stack from the ground up.

Key Responsibilities
- Develop Python backend solutions, leveraging libraries such as Pandas, NumPy, Polars, and frameworks like Flask/FastAPI
- Build a platform supporting the Risk Division
- Experience with data platforms (e.g., Databricks, Snowflake) is highly desirable
- Work closely with Front Office and Risk teams to:
- Gather requirements
- Design and deliver robust solutions
- Enhance data centralisation for reporting and visualisation
- Collaborate with stakeholders across trading desks

Technical Requirements
- Strong Python skills in trading environments
- Proficiency with NumPy, Pandas, Polars
- Bonus: Experience with AWS for cloud deployment
- Strong communication skills—essential for working with non-technical stakeholders
Offer & Benefits
- Base salary: Up to £140,000 (generous discretionary bonus, performance-linked)
- 25 days holiday + medical insurance
- Hybrid working: 3 days in-office, 2 days remote
