πŸš€ The Opportunity

We're partnering with an industry-leading global hedge fund that is seeking a Python Engineer to join its front-office technology team.
Working closely with Portfolio Managers, Quantitative Researchers, and Analysts, you'll build the tools, platforms, and infrastructure that support investment research, trading decisions, and portfolio management.
This is a highly visible, business-critical role where your engineering expertise will directly influence investment workflows, operational efficiency, and trading performance. You'll work in a collaborative environment where technology is a core driver of competitive advantage.

πŸ”§ What You'll Be Doing

  • Design, develop, and maintain Python-based applications supporting trading, research, and portfolio management.
  • Build bespoke analytics, reporting, and visualisation tools in partnership with investment teams.
  • Develop and optimise data pipelines supporting large-scale financial datasets.
  • Automate complex workflows to improve research productivity and trading efficiency.
  • Collaborate directly with Portfolio Managers, Quantitative Researchers, and Analysts to deliver innovative, high-impact solutions.

βœ… What We're Looking For

  • Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, Physics, or another quantitative discipline.
  • Strong Python development experience within high-performance, data-intensive, or distributed environments.
  • Excellent software engineering fundamentals, including system design and writing high-quality, maintainable code.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with both technical teams and investment stakeholders.
