Python Game Developer (Junior, Panda3D) – Remote Contract
Role Junior Python Game Developer (Panda3D) – Contract (Remote / Work from Anywhere) Rate: $20–$70/hour
About the Role
We’re seeking an experienced Junior Python Game Developer specialising in Panda3D to join our client’s team on a contract basis. Your mission will involve developing, debugging, and optimising game mechanics using Python while working within the Panda3D engine. You’ll collaborate on code porting, maintaining game systems, and integrating new features.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop & debug game mechanics using Python and Panda3D components.
- Port existing codebases to Panda3D, ensuring performance and stability.
- Implement & test new game features under senior developer supervision.
- Assist in maintaining & optimising game systems for efficiency.
- Collaborate with design & art teams to integrate assets and mechanics.

Required Skills & Qualifications
Technical:
✔ At least 1 year in Python game development or scripting. ✔ Experience with Panda3D or comparable 3D game engines (e.g., Pygame, Unity shaders). ✔ Familiarity with:
- Game physics and rendering pipelines.
- Asset integration (textures, models, animations).
- Refactoring codebases for performance.
- Version control (Git, GitHub/GitLab). ✔ Basic problem-solving for bug-fixing and optimisation.
