It’s a role that requires exceptional attention to detail, strong organisational skills, and the ability to work efficiently within a structured testing environment.
Based from our telematics head office at Arden Square, Crewe, you will play a crucial role in identifying defects, documenting issues, and contributing to the continuous improvement of our telematics products.
Although the role forms part of our inhouse software development function, it has significant interdependencies with our hardware team.
Please note to be able to fully test our devices, you will need access to your own vehicle and a full, clean, UK driving license.
What you’ll be doing…

- Developing, documenting, and maintaining detailed test cases and test plans in accordance with established QA protocols
- Analysing test results and documenting findings in a clear, organised manner using bug tracking systems
- Performing both manual and automated testing procedures to ensure comprehensive device coverage
- Collaborating with development and product teams to communicate issues, clarify requirements, and verify resolutions
- Maintaining meticulous records of all testing activities, including test execution logs and defect reports
- Identifying patterns in device failures and providing analytical insights to support process improvements
- Ensuring compliance with quality standards and best practices throughout the testing lifecycle
- Conducting regression testing to verify that fixes do not introduce new issues
- Participating in induction and training programmes to stay current with new testing methodologies and device technologies
What we’re looking for…
Required skills and experience:
- Proven experience in quality assurance or device testing environments
- Strong knowledge of testing methodologies and QA best practices
- Proficiency in creating and executing test cases with meticulous attention to detail
- Experience with bug tracking and defect management systems
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities
- Strong organisational and time-keeping skills
- Ability to document findings clearly and communicate technical issues effectively
- Understanding of the software development lifecycle (SDLC)
- Knowledge of mobile or hardware device testing
- Full clean, driving license and access to your own vehicle

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.
