The Role
Ocean Infinity is seeking a QA Engineer to ensure the quality, reliability, and performance of our software products, reporting to the Lead Quality Assurance Engineer.
This role sits in a collaborative engineering environment and plays a pivotal part in embedding quality through the full software development lifecycle.
You will:
- Collaborate across teams (software engineers, product teams, and stakeholders)
- Ensure quality isn’t bolted on at the end but integrated throughout development
- Take ownership of testing and drive continuous improvement in QA methodologies

This is a hands-on role for someone who thrives in fast-paced, agile environments, communicates clearly, and is driven by excellence in software quality.
Responsibilities
- Design, create, and execute test cases to ensure comprehensive functional and regression test coverage
- Work closely with developers, product managers, and QA teams to identify risks early and enhance software quality
- Maintain adherence to QA processes, standards, and best practices across all projects
- Communicate defects, risks, and quality concerns transparently, ensuring timely resolution
- Continuously improve test coverage, effectiveness, and product quality
- Participate in the full product lifecycle—from requirements review to end-to-end release testing
- Contribute to evolving QA methodologies, tools, and ways of working
- Collaborate, mentor, and share knowledge—fostering a culture of shared growth
Who You Are
You are a detail-oriented QA professional with a sense of ownership and a problem-solving mindset. Thriving in agile environments, you excel in cross-functional collaboration and are passionate about delivering reliable software.
Essential Qualifications & Skills
- Deep knowledge of software QA methodologies, tools, and processes
- Experience with:
- Manual QA testing across web applications (front-end and back-end REST APIs) and desktop apps
- API testing tools like Swagger and Postman
- Agile development environments
- Deriving effective test cases from technical requirements
- Writing clear test cases and high-quality test artefacts
- Strong written and verbal communication (fluency in English required)
- Analytical thinking with a structured, solution-oriented approach
- Experience using version control systems
- Familiarity with Azure DevOps, Jira, and Confluence

Desirable Qualifications & Skills
- Experience with test automation (e.g., Playwright)
- Knowledge of JavaScript, TypeScript, and/or Python
- Hands-on experience with WSL, Docker, or Citrix
- Exposure to AI/ML projects or data-driven systems
Salary & Location
- Location: Porto
- Salary Range: Up to €64,000
Salary varies based on skills, abilities, and experience level across regional locations and job grades.
