We pride ourselves in delivering the best experience to our clients. You'll be leading a team of Test Automation Engineers, you'll be ahead of the game, knowing what's on, upcoming and thereafter. You'll manage and tackle your own issues and risks and support the rest of the QA function to deliver the best performance possible. The primary objective is to plan, approve changes / bug fixes, manage the team workload and performance. Furthermore, you'll be finding the point of QA escalation within your team, helping to support tactical and strategic direction, you'll also be support with manual testing and reducing the overall defect leakage
A little about you...
- 3+ years commercial Web / Mobile QA Lead experience
- Proven experience working in Agile SDLC
- Proven experience working with a combination of complex and simple projects
- Knowledge of VS Code, Playwright, Typescript, SQL Server and Postman
- A good understanding of Version Control, WCAG and accessibility standards
- Passion for Test Automation.
- Desire to own and resolve issues.
- Ability to take ownership of, and work through problems.
- Willingness and ability to learn new automation tools, technologies, and techniques as needed to adapt to evolving project requirements and industry trends.
- You'll be able to quickly identify what is important or more challenging to test and focus on these areas first.
- Strong attention to detail.
- Clear verbal and written communication.

About the role
- Test Planning and Execution: Work with stakeholders and leads to understand the changes, allowing you to define testable acceptance criteria. You'll estimate & plan the execution of suitable tests, verifying the results within agreed timelines.
- Change / Bugfix Signoff: You'll be responsible for providing signoff of all changes and bug fixes within your team by ensuring the right tests have been run correctly.
- Performance Monitoring: Monitoring test execution and performance of individual and the team to identify bottlenecks and making appropriate direction changes when these start to occur.
- Team Leadership & Collaboration: Providing guidance, mentorship, and technical support to automation engineers. Collaborating with cross-functional teams within Engineering to ensure alignment and effective communication.
- QA Ownership: You'll own issues, whether it be automation or other through to resolution.
- Quality Assurance Maturity: You'll learn from mistakes and contribute to the improvement of QA, implementing best practice for testing and automation.
- Reporting & Communication: Generating reports on progress. Identifying and publishing issues and resolution steps and timelines.
- Manual Migration: You'll drive migration from manual to automation. Working with the QA Manager and other QA Leads to strengthen our automation suite continuously.
- Test Automation Quality: You will ensure that the automation is non-flaky and can be run on every environment it is intended to.
- Defect Leakage Reduction: Reduce client bugs by working through these as they get resolved and reducing defect leakage.
- Collaboration with Engineering: Work closely with Engineering to understand requirements, identify test scenarios, and ensure the timely execution of tests and resolution of issues within the planned timeframe.
- Test Readiness & Environment Setup: Assist in setting up and configuring test environments, including test data preparation.
- Test Documentation: Maintain documentation related to automated test scripts, test execution results, and any other relevant testing artifacts.
- Quality Assurance Processes Improvement: Contribute ideas and suggestions for improving QA processes, methodologies, and tools to enhance overall testing efficiency and effectiveness.
- Self-Development: Stay updated with industry trends, best practices, and emerging technologies in test automation to enhance skills and knowledge.
