Role Description
The QA Manager is a full-time, on-site role based in the Blackpool area, responsible for overseeing all aspects of product quality and food safety within the manufacturing environment. This role manages quality assurance processes, including implementation and maintenance of quality systems, monitoring production standards, and conducting internal audits. The QA Manager will lead the investigation of non-conformances, supervise corrective and preventive actions, and ensure compliance with regulatory, customer, and certification requirements.

Qualifications
- Strong experience in quality assurance and quality control within food or beverage manufacturing, including managing HACCP, GMP, and hygiene standards.
- Knowledge of relevant food safety legislation, industry standards, and certification schemes (e.g., BRCGS or equivalent) and ability to maintain compliance.
- Proficiency in developing, implementing, and auditing quality management systems, including documentation, SOPs, and process controls.
- Ability to lead root cause analysis, manage corrective and preventive actions, and use data to drive continuous improvement initiatives.
- Experience in laboratory or product testing environments, including sensory evaluation and basic analytical checks relevant to syrups and beverage compounds.
- Strong leadership skills with experience managing or supervising QA teams and collaborating with cross-functional departments.
- Excellent communication, report-writing, and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to explain complex quality issues clearly.
- High attention to detail, strong organizational skills, and the ability to prioritize in a fast-paced, high-volume manufacturing setting.
- Professional qualifications in food science, chemistry, microbiology, or a related discipline; a degree-level qualification is preferred.
