About The Role
We are seeking a hands-on Quality Assurance Manager to lead and shape the quality assurance strategy within a dynamic environment focused on embedded software, firmware, and hardware products. This senior leadership position requires a technical expert with a proven track record in QA management, capable of overseeing complex validation processes and driving quality initiatives across multiple product lines. The successful candidate will be responsible for establishing robust testing frameworks, automating validation procedures, and ensuring the delivery of high-quality products that meet stringent industry standards.
Qualifications
The ideal candidate will possess a bachelor’s or master’s degree in Computer Science, Electrical/Electronic Engineering, or a related technical discipline. Extensive experience in QA, test engineering, or validation within embedded systems environments is essential. Proven leadership skills managing and developing QA teams are required, along with hands-on expertise in test automation, framework design, and validation strategies. Candidates should have a strong understanding of the full test lifecycle, including unit, integration, system, acceptance, and end-to-end testing, with experience in Hardware-in-the-Loop (HIL) environments. Proficiency in programming languages such as Python, C, C++, or Java, and familiarity with CI/CD pipelines, version control systems like Git, and test management tools such as Jira, Xray, Zephyr, or Polarion are also necessary. Excellent communication skills and a demonstrated ability to improve QA maturity and foster a collaborative quality culture are highly valued.

Responsibilities
- Define and own the QA and test strategy across the entire product lifecycle, encompassing software, firmware, and hardware-based products.
- Establish and maintain test frameworks, standards, and best practices to ensure consistent, scalable, and high-quality validation processes.
- Design modular and reusable test architectures, ensuring that test assets are version-controlled, maintainable, and accessible to contributors outside the QA team.
- Create contribution models, including templates, governance policies, code review standards, and documentation, to enable broader engineering participation in quality initiatives.
- Drive comprehensive test coverage across the test pyramid, including unit, integration, system, acceptance, and end-to-end testing.
- Build and enhance automated testing capabilities for embedded and system-level products, integrating these into CI/CD pipelines using tools such as Jenkins, GitLab CI, or GitHub Actions.
- Implement quality gates, reporting mechanisms, flaky test management, and automated feedback loops to support rapid release cycles and development speed.
- Lead the planning, development, and operation of Hardware-in-the-Loop (HIL) test environments, coordinating with hardware engineers for setup, calibration, and maintenance.
- Oversee system-level validation activities to ensure robust product performance across hardware, firmware, and application layers.
- Produce clear, comprehensive test reports and metrics, tracking KPIs such as test coverage, automation ratio, defect leakage, escape rate, and release readiness.
- Manage defect lifecycle processes, including triage, root cause analysis, and post-mortem reviews, to continuously improve product quality.
- Lead, mentor, and develop a team of QA engineers across multiple locations, fostering a culture of quality and continuous improvement.
- Collaborate closely with R&D, Product, and Customer Support teams to translate customer requirements and field issues into effective test plans.
- Participate in architecture and design reviews to ensure quality and testability are integrated from the earliest stages of development.
