Overview

QA Technician (Multiple roles available)
Humdinger, Bromborough CH62 3RD

Position type: Temporary Full-Time - 6 month fixed term contract
Hours: 39
Pay range: £14.53 /Hour (£29,466.84 equivalent)
Breaks: 2 x 30 minutes

Shift Pattern:
Monday - Thursday:

  • Week 1: 06:00 - 14:00
  • Week 2: 14:00 - 22:00
  • Week 3: 22:00 - 06:00

Friday:

  • Week 1: 06:00 - 13:00
  • Week 2: 13:00 - 20:00
  • Week 3: 20:00 - 03:00

Closing date: 17/07/2026

Responsibilities

  • Conduct routine chemical, microbiological, and GMP checks to ensure products meet specifications.
  • Ensure compliance with legislation, company policies, and health & safety requirements across all manufacturing processes.
  • Investigate customer complaints and identify quality issues, supporting the QA Manager/Supervisor with timely corrective actions.
  • Maintain strict documentation control, monitor non-conformances, and ensure corrective actions are implemented effectively.
  • Support continuous improvement initiatives, contributing to HACCP reviews, internal and external audits, and quality-driven projects.
  • Assist with raw material intake and manage day-to-day quality issues, collaborating with teams to ensure consistent product quality.

Qualifications

  • Experience in food manufacturing and Quality Assurance with strong knowledge of HACCP, food hygiene, internal & external auditing.
  • Familiarity with chemical handling, COSHH regulations, sensory evaluation, and basic IT skills.
  • Strong data analysis capabilities and proficiency in mathematics, including averages, percentages, decimal places, and metric weights.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication.
