QA Test Analyst - Core Banking - IBIS - International Bank
Excellent opportunity opens to join an International Bank as their new QA Test Analyst. You will drive forward multi-stage testing of key system developments and play a crucial role across multiple teams in testing and delivery. We are looking for someone with extensive experience and exposure to business and staff applications testing, test planning and individual releases.
Key Responsibilities
Test Planning & Analysis
- Review business requirements and functional specifications.
- Identify test conditions, risks, and acceptance criteria.
- Estimate testing effort and contribute to test planning.
- Ensure requirements (functional & non-functional) are testable and complete.
Test Design & Preparation
- Create detailed test scenarios and test cases.
- Prepare test data.
- Maintain traceability between requirements and test cases.
- Prioritise tests based on business risk.
Test Execution
- Execute manual and/or automated test cases.
- Record test evidence and results.
- Perform functional, regression, integration, and user acceptance support testing.
- Re-test fixes and conduct regression testing.

Defect Management
- Log defects with clear reproduction steps and supporting evidence.
- Assess severity and priority.
- Work with developers and business analysts to resolve issues.
- Verify fixes and close defects once resolved.
Reporting & Quality Assurance
- Report testing progress, risks, and quality metrics.
- Produce test completion reports.
- Support go/no-go decisions for releases.
- Recommend process improvements and contribute to continuous improvement.
Additional Skills and Experience
- Significant experience in a senior QA role and creating detailed test artefacts
- Experience working in Agile methodologies such as Scrum or Kanban and contributing to the Agile ceremonies
- Tooling - Hands on experience working on JIRA (Zephyr - desirable) and Confluence
- Cross-role/domain experience (eg banking, analysis, change management end user adoption) is desirable
- Demonstrates initiative and pragmatic-solving by challenging assumptions, asking the right questions and driving testing forward despite unclear, evolving or incomplete documentation.
- Experience working in data testing role - ETL/Data Migration, reconciliation (desirable)
- Test planning, strategy and approach with testing experience of; MS365 Applications (Outlook, Teams, OneDrive, CoPilot), DocuSign, SharePoint, API's is desirable
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Excellent stakeholder management skills
- The ability to act with courage and integrity including appropriate challenge when necessary
- Be able to actively participate in team meetings and other test forums
- The ability to build effective networks with stakeholders, both internally and externally
