QA Test Analyst (Fixed Term Contract) - Flexible Location
Up to £46,000pa DOE plus Performance Bonus & Benefits.

Bibby Financial Services are growing, and we’re looking for a QA Test Analyst to join our Business Applications Team on a 12-month, fixed-term contract. The Test Analyst provides a comprehensive testing service across Business Applications and Technology Services within the BFS estate. The role works closely with teams across multiple functions and business areas to design, plan, manage, and execute testing activities that support both business-as-usual (BAU) operations and change initiatives. The Test Analyst collaborates with key application users and stakeholders, applying a risk-based testing approach to support the safe and effective delivery of change. The role plays a critical part in maintaining system quality and stability while enabling transformation and continuous improvement.

What you’ll be doing
- Apply a risk-based testing approach in line with agreed project test strategies and plans.
- Contribute to the preparation of test plans aligned to the scope of change and defined risk appetite.
- Develop clear, comprehensive test scripts that cover all required scenarios, acceptance criteria, and expected.
- Coordinate with the Test Manager and internal/external teams to plan, schedule, and prioritize testing activities.
- Contribute to the creation and maintenance of regression test packs, combining manual and automated testing approaches to improve efficiency and consistency outcomes.
- Prepare appropriate test data to support both manual and automated testing activities.
- Execute manual and automated test scripts in line with agreed plans and schedules.
- Contribute to the development and use of standard templates, tools, and processes.
- Proactively identify opportunities to leverage tooling, technology, and AI to improve the efficiency and effectiveness of test planning and execution.
- Identify and promote opportunities for process improvement and productivity gains.
- Build and maintain strong knowledge of core applications and associated business processes.

Who are we looking for?
- BCS (ISEB) / ISTQB Certified Tester at Foundation level.
- Proven experience in an IT or software testing role within a development or end-user environment.
- Hands-on experience of manual functional testing, regression testing, and test automation.
- Familiarity with a range of testing methodologies (e.g., waterfall, V-model, agile) and standard testing terminology.
- Strong attention to detail and analytical capability.
- Confident decision-making and influencing skills.
- Proficient IT skills, including Microsoft Excel, Word, and SharePoint.
