The Role
JOB DESCRIPTION
This role is a hands-on contract testing engagement, focused on delivering high quality assurance across IT systems and processes. It is outcome driven, supporting the stability of business-critical platforms, regulatory compliance, and a positive end user experience. The contractor will work embedded within Agile delivery teams to provide timely, pragmatic testing that enables confident release decisions.
Responsibilities
Responsibilities will include:
- Produce and execute test plans aligned to delivery milestones and business outcomes
- Design, review, and maintain test scripts to support functional, integration, regression, and end to end testing
- Execute testing cycles efficiently, logging, tracking, and re-testing defects to resolution
- Provide clear, concise test status reporting, risks, and quality insights to delivery teams and stakeholders
- Support User Acceptance Testing (UAT), acting as a representative end user to validate real world scenarios and support go live decisions
- Collaborate closely with Developers, Business Analysts, and business stakeholders to clarify requirements and assess impact
- Contribute to Agile delivery ceremonies, working within Scrum and Kanban frameworks

Skills and Experience
- Outcome focused and delivery-oriented mindset
- Strong collaborator with the ability to build effective working relationships quickly
- Comfortable operating in changing environments and adapting to shifting priorities
- Confident in providing independent, objective quality assessments to support decision making
- A strong collaborator; excellent relationship building and communication skills with the ability to engage people from diverse cultures and different levels.
- Able to work on own initiative whilst understanding the journey.
- Able to adapt and respond to changing corporate objectives as opportunities open up
- Ability to articulate Testing and Quality issues in a clear and concise manner to non-tech people
- Preferable experience with Azure DevOps, Postman, SQL Server Management Studio
