Trusted Crew is recruiting an experienced QA/QC Lead to support the fabrication of monopile foundations for a major offshore wind project.

The position will be based primarily from a fabrication facility in North Yorkshire, with travel to fabrication yards in Spain and Germany as required.

This is a senior, client-side quality position requiring extensive experience overseeing the fabrication, welding, NDT and coating of large offshore structures.

The role

Reporting to the Foundation Quality Manager, you will lead and support site inspectors across three monopile fabrication and load-out locations.

You will provide technical fabrication quality guidance to the site teams, support implementation of the Project Quality Plan and Fabrication Quality Plan, and ensure the contractor’s activities comply with project specifications, contractual requirements and applicable offshore standards.

Key responsibilities

  • Lead QA/QC activities across three monopile fabrication and load-out facilities.
  • Provide technical guidance and support to site inspectors and the wider foundation package team.
  • Monitor contractor and subcontractor fabrication activities.
  • Perform surveillance and witness inspections covering fit-up, dimensional control, welding, NDT, coating and material traceability.
  • Review ITPs, welding procedures, NDT procedures, inspection documentation and fabrication records.
  • Verify fabrication drawings against design drawings during product inspection.
  • Monitor welder qualifications, WPS compliance, welding equipment, consumables and material traceability.
  • Participate in quality walks, inspection look-aheads, readiness reviews, NCR reviews and site quality meetings.
  • Identify, document and follow up non-conformities, technical deviations, defects and punch-list items.
  • Support joint walkdowns, final inspections and pre-load-out quality activities.
  • Carry out quality audits and quality-gate reviews.
  • Prepare daily, weekly and monthly fabrication quality reports.
  • Record inspection and surveillance activities using LetsBuild/Aproplan.
  • Support the review of final as-built fabrication records and lessons learned.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
