QHSE Coordinator
QHSE Co-ordinator (Health & Safety Co-ordinator)
Are you a detail-driven professional who is passionate about health, safety, and compliance? Do you enjoy working in a fast-paced environment where you can influence safety culture, drive standards, and ensure compliance while supporting operational teams?
At GXO, we’re recruiting for a QHSE Co-ordinator to support our shared user sites in Northampton. This is a full-time, permanent role (Monday to Friday) where you will play a key role in promoting a positive safety culture, ensuring compliance, and supporting QHSE activities across multiple sites.

- Salary: £28,000 per annum
- Annual Leave: 25 days (plus bank holidays)

Typical Responsibilities
- Promote and maintain health, safety, and environmental (HSE) standards across multiple sites, ensuring alignment with legal requirements, company policies, and best practices.
- Manage and maintain QHSE documentation, including:
- Risk assessments
- Audits
- Policies
- Compliance records
- Ensure all information remains accurate, up-to-date, and audit-ready.
- Monitor and analyse incident, accident, and compliance data to:
- Support investigations
- Track actions
- Drive follow-up activities
- Reduce risk and improve safety performance.
- Coordinate audits, inspections, and planned preventative maintenance activities in collaboration with:
- Internal teams
- External contractors
- Ensure timely completion and compliance.
- Act as the central point of contact for:
- Safety-related queries
- Systems administration
- Training records
- Ensure effective communication and consistency across operations.

Requirements
To succeed in this role, you will need:
- Previous experience in a health & safety, compliance, or administrative role within a fast-paced operational environment.
- Strong organisational and analytical skills, with the ability to:
- Manage data
- Prioritise tasks
- Maintain accurate records
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Microsoft Excel, with experience using systems and databases.
- Excellent communication skills, including the ability to:
- Build relationships
- Influence stakeholders at all levels
- IOSH Managing Safely qualification (or equivalent).
- A detail-focused approach to continuously improving safety standards.
