QHSE Manager
Wipak UK | Welshpool
About the Role
An exciting opportunity has arisen for a QHSE Manager to join Wipak UK. Reporting directly to the Managing Director, this senior leadership role is responsible for leading and developing all Quality, Health, Safety and Environmental activities across the site. The successful candidate will ensure compliance with legal, customer and Wipak Group requirements while driving a culture of quality excellence, safety, environmental responsibility and continuous improvement.
Responsibilities
- Lead and maintain the site's Quality Management System (QMS)
- Ensure compliance with ISO standards, customer and regulatory requirements
- Manage internal, external and customer audits
- Drive CAPA, root cause analysis and continuous improvement activities
- Act as the primary quality contact for customer escalations and complaints
- Lead Health & Safety systems, risk assessments and incident investigations
- Monitor and report QHSE performance and KPIs
- Manage the Environmental Management System and sustainability initiatives
- Provide independent QHSE leadership and governance across the business
- Coach, develop and lead the QHSE team

Requirements
- Proven senior QHSE leadership experience within a manufacturing environment
- Strong knowledge of ISO 9001, ISO 14001 and ISO 45001 standards
- Experience leading audits and regulatory inspections
- Excellent communication and influencing skills
- Ability to challenge and engage stakeholders at all levels
- Strong analytical and problem-solving capability
- Continuous improvement mindset
- NEBOSH, IOSH, Lead Auditor or equivalent qualifications desirable
- Packaging industry experience preferred
