About Us
A family-owned business, established in 1980, NVD was set up to assist vehicle manufacturers in the timely and incident-free distribution of their products. We’ve established ourselves as a one-stop shop providing the three main pillars of outbound logistics, including transporting, storing, and enhancing our customers’ vehicles, prior to delivery to their end location. Since 1980 NVD has been at the forefront of pioneering the digitisation of the FVL industry. As early adopters of emerging technology, we have been able to introduce huge efficiencies saving time and money for our customers. Our unwavering commitment to progress and continual service improvement remains at the heart of our business today.
Role Summary
The QHSE Officer is a key tactical role designed to support the Health and Safety Manager in maintaining a robust safety culture and upholding exceptional quality standards across our logistics, workshop, and processing sites. In this role, you will bridge the gap between high-level compliance strategy and on-the-ground operational excellence, with a heavy emphasis on developing, coordinating, and delivering engaging QHSE training to our teams. You will be responsible for the day-to-day administration of our integrated management systems (covering Quality, Health, Safety, and Environment), conducting site audits, monitoring workshop quality controls, and acting as a primary point of contact for frontline staff to ensure a "timely, quality-driven, and incident-free" environment.

Document findings, track corrective and preventive actions (CAPA) to completion, and ensure all fleet and workshop tools meet safety and operational quality standards.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.
