Role Summary
The QHSE Officer is a critical tactical role, supporting the Health and Safety Manager in maintaining a robust safety culture and enforcing exceptional quality standards across logistics, workshop, and processing sites.
You will:
- Bridge high-level compliance strategy and operational excellence
- Focus on QHSE training—developing, coordinating, and delivering engaging programmes for teams
- Maintain integrity of integrated management systems (covering Quality, Health, Safety, and Environment)
- Conduct site audits and monitor workshop quality controls
- Serve as the primary contact for frontline staff to ensure a timely, quality-driven, incident-free environment

Key Responsibilities
Training & Development
- Lead QHSE training programmes, including:
- Tool-box talks
- Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs)
- Quality standards briefings
- Safety inductions (for new hires & contractors)
- Identify training gaps in certifications
- Maintain training records
- Coach frontline teams on quality and safety best practices
System Maintenance & Quality Control
- Support the Manager in optimising, updating, and aligning integrated management systems to ensure compliance with:
- ISO 9001 (Quality)
- ISO 14001 (Environment)
- ISO 45001 (Health & Safety)
- Monitor workshop & processing quality controls to ensure vehicles meet client specifications
Inspections & Auditing
- Conduct regular QHSE inspections and internal quality audits across all operations
- Document findings, track Corrective & Preventive Actions (CAPAs), and ensure fleets & tools meet standards
Incident & Non-Conformance Investigation
- Support safety incident investigations and near-miss analyses
- Use root-cause analysis to identify trends and combat recurrence via targeted training
Data, KPIs & Reporting
- Maintain QHSE databases
- Track integrated KPIs
- Prepare monthly safety & quality performance reports
- Highlight areas for continuous improvement

Continuous Improvement
- Seek efficient operational and quality enhancements without compromising safety standards
Qualifications & Experience
Certification
- NEBOSH International Diploma (or equivalent safety qualification required)
Experience
- Minimum 3 years in QHSE or HSE roles
- Proven experience in a workshop, manufacturing, or heavy production environment (logistics/automotive preferred)
Training Ability
- Strong designing & delivering training (face-to-face, inductions, compliance workshops)
- Ability to engage diverse teams effectively
Knowledge
- ISO management systems expertise (ISO 9001, 14001, 45001)
Skills
- Excellent communication & interpersonal abilities
- Data-driven problem-solving
- Technical report writing
- Root-cause analysis capability
Licence
- Full, clean driving licence (essential for site travel)
