Salary: £46,938 - £50,961 per annum (Grade 10) Contract: Full-time (36.5 hours per week), Fixed-term until 31 October 2027
Following staff secondment, we are excited to advertise an opportunity for a Manager within our Qualification Development team.
The Role
In this position, you will:
- Lead a small team of Qualification Development Support Officers and our Administrative Team Co-ordinator
- Coordinate the programme of general and vocational qualifications development, including:
- Review
- Evaluation
- Amendment
- Work on an extensive portfolio of ongoing qualification projects in England and Wales
- Engage in engaging, varied, and rewarding work
About You
Key Requirements
Candidates should demonstrate:
- A flair for project management and coordination
- Strong interpersonal skills and ability to collaborate effectively
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills
- Familiarity with education or awarding bodies sector, preferably with experience in qualification development processes across England and Wales

Working Arrangements
WJEC operates a hybrid working model, allowing you to split your time between office locations and home work. However:
- Regular attendance at our Cardiff / Treforest office is required by the team.
- Hybrid working is subject to business needs and discussions can be had around flexibility.
- Essential: Working from home 1 day per week (on average).
- Welsh language skills not mandatory, but willingness to learn and engage is valued.
