What Does the Role Involve?
As an Agency Nursery Assistant, you’ll:
- Assist nursery staff in caring for and supervising children aged 0–5
- Support daily routines (feeding, changing, toilet training)
- Lead fun, educational activities engaging young minds
- Maintain a safe, clean, and nurturing environment
- Build strong relationships with:
- Children
- Parents
- Nursing teams
- Work collaboratively across multiple sites based on staffing needs
What Are We Looking For?
Ideal candidates have:
- A Level 2 or 3 Early Years Qualification (desirable but not mandatory)
- Experience in nursery or early years settings (desirable but not mandatory)
- A genuine passion for:
- Child development
- Well-being in early years
- Flexibility and adaptability to work in multiple locations
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work effectively as part of a team

Safeguarding Requirements
Because this role involves regulated activity with children, all candidates must:
✅ Hold (or be willing to obtain) an enhanced DBS check, registered on the Update Service. ✅ Be eligible to work in regulated roles (not on the Children’s Barred List). ✅ Pass background and reference checks. ⚠️ Note: If you don’t yet have an enhanced DBS, you’ll need to cover the cost yourself.
