The Role: Apprenticeship Assessor (Remote/Hybrid)
As an Apprenticeship Assessor, you will play a key role in guiding Apprentices to success. Your main responsibilities include:
- Building strong relationships with Apprentices and Employer Partners.
- Supporting and motivating Apprentices to ensure progressive development.
- Safeguarding commitment: Reporting any concerns immediately to the Designated Safeguarding Lead.
- Monitoring progress, identifying challenges, and applying solutions.
- Setting individualised goals to meet achievement deadlines.
- Addressing additional learning needs, including Maths and English Functional Skills support (up to Level 2).
- Managing a caseload of ~45 Apprentices, conducting 4-weekly assessments.
- Conducting quarterly progress reviews to ensure funding compliance.
- Preparing Apprentices for their End Point Assessment.

Key Impact of This Role

Working Arrangements
- Remote/Hybrid role (interview discussions will determine final arrangement based on location).
- Open to out-of-area applicants, but some travel to Chobham, Surrey, will be required for training, meetings, and company events.
Working Hours
- Monday–Friday, 9:00 AM – 5:30 PM
- Flexible working arrangements considered.
Salary
- £30,000 – £32,000 (dependent on experience and qualifications).
Person Specification
Essential Requirements
✅ Assessor qualification (D32/33, A1, CAVA). ✅ Maths and English at GCSE Grade C (4+) or equivalent. ✅ Occupational competence in a supervisory role (minimum 2 years). ✅ Knowledge of Safeguarding policies and procedures. ✅ Understanding of End Point Assessment processes. ✅ Awareness of Apprenticeship funding rules. ✅ Strong IT skills, including Microsoft Office. ✅ Excellent verbal and written communication. ✅ Ability to work independently and manage time effectively. ✅ Passionate about people development and coaching. ✅ Stakeholder management experience (internal/external). ✅ Alignment with our company values (Welcoming, Empowering, Innovating, Rewarding). ✅ Full driving licence and ability to travel (including motorways).

Desirable Qualities
🔹 Internal Quality Assurance qualification (Level 4 IQA, D34, V1). 🔹 Knowledge/experience of Ofsted inspection processes. 🔹 Confidence in recruitment soft-selling skills (attracting Apprentices).
