Pay Rates
Your pay increases with your length of service.
0–24 Months' Service
- Standard: £16.91 per hour
- Overtime (Mon–Fri): £18.60 per hour
- Overtime (Sat–Sun): £20.30 per hour
25–48 Months' Service

- Standard: £17.64 per hour
- Overtime (Mon–Fri): £19.41 per hour
- Overtime (Sat–Sun): £21.17 per hour
49+ Months' Service
- Standard: £18.05 per hour
- Overtime (Mon–Fri): £19.85 per hour
- Overtime (Sat–Sun): £21.66 per hour

Working Pattern
You'll work a rotating pattern of 5 days on, 2 days off, with shifts planned 6–8 weeks in advance to help you plan your life outside of work.
Typical shift start times include:
- 🌅 Mornings from 4:00am
- ☀️ Afternoons from 12:00pm
- 🌙 Evenings from 6:00pm
Regular overtime opportunities are available depending on business needs.

What You'll Need
To join Arriva London you'll need:
- A valid PCV Category D licence
- To be 18 years of age or over
- No more than 6 penalty points on your driving licence
- A current Licence for London is desirable if you've worked for another London bus operator within the last six months
- To successfully pass a drug and alcohol screening
- Excellent customer service and communication skills
- Flexibility to work a variety of shift patterns
