Qualified Dental Nurse (Maternity Cover)

Part-Time Dental Nurse – Fixed-Term Maternity Cover (Canterbury, Near Canterbury)

About the Role

We are seeking a part-time dental nurse to provide 10-month maternity cover in a well-established mixed practice near Canterbury, commencing August 2026.

Hours & Wages

  • Fixed hours: Tuesday to Thursday, 8:30 am – 5:30 pm (24 hours/week)
  • Payable on experience & qualifications
  • Additional days may be requested
  • Starting hourly rate: £15/hour

Key Responsibilities

Supportive dental nursing duties include:

  • Chairside assistance to dentists
  • Decontamination and infection control
  • Record-keeping of patient treatments
  • Assisting administrative tasks with the wider team

Requirements

  • Qualification: Recognised dental nursing qualification (NVQ/DipHE/BSc)
  • Registry: Active GDC registration required
  • Experience: Minimum 1 year as a dental nurse
  • Work Status: Legally permitted to work in the UK
  • Skills: Exceptional patient care/coumunication; prior reception experience (R4) is advantageous
  • Flexibility: Reliable transport or ability to relocate
