Nursery Practitioner (Bright Flex / Bank Team)

Location: Chelmsford Day Nursery and Preschool, 51 Centenary Way, Springfield, Chelmsford, Essex, CM1 6AU


About This Opportunity

Bright Horizons Chelmsford Day Nursery and Preschool is seeking a flexible working practitioner to join our Bright Flex / Bank team, blending the convenience of bank/agency work with the security and benefits of being a permanent employee.

The Role

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support colleagues in delivering Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) curriculum through educational and entertaining activities to encourage children’s progress.
  • Assist with essential day-to-day tasks, including room preparations and tidying.
  • Work collaboratively within the nursery as part of a larger caregiving team.
  • Uphold safeguarding standards and develop relationships with children and families.

What We’re Looking For

  • A Level 3 Early Years qualification (or higher) with full applicability.
  • Direct experience working with children, e.g. as a Nursery Practitioner, Nursery Nurse, Early Years Educator, Nanny, or Childminder.
  • A passion for making learning fun, engaging, and tailored to each child.
  • Strong communication skills (customised for children and adults).
  • Knowledge of child protection and safeguarding polices.
  • Flexibility, adaptability, and enthusiasm to incorporate new skills.
