Level 3 Qualified Early Years Practitioner (Flexible/Bank) – Bright Horizons Poppetts Day Nursery

Bright Horizons’ Bright Flex / Bank team at Bright Horizons Poppetts Day Nursery & Preschool (Long Ridings Avenue, Shenfield, CM13 1DU) is currently seeking a Level 3 qualified practitioner to support their day-to-day operations.

Salary: Starting from £14.24 per hour (dependent on qualifications and experience). Location: Shenfield, CM13 1DU.

The Role

As a flexible/part-time Bank Practitioner, you’ll contribute to the joyful learning experiences of young children while supporting the wider nursery team. Core responsibilities include:

  • Delivering high-quality Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) activities in line with educational best practice
  • Engaging children in age-appropriate, fun, and developmental play-based learning to progress their key milestones
  • Working collaboratively with colleagues to ensure:
    • Maintaining a safe, clean, and stimulating environment
    • Completing essential daily tasks, including room preparation and tidying
  • Assisting with behaviour management and nurturing emotional development
  • Providing consistent care, supervision, and direction for the well-being of children

Requirements

  • Full Level 3 Early Years qualification (or equivalent) (Nursery Practitioner, Early Years Educator, or similar)
  • Previous experience working in childcare (e.g., Nursery Nurse, Nanny, Childminder)
  • A passion for making learning fun, stimulating, and meaningful for children
  • Strong communication skills with both children and adults
  • Sound knowledge of child protection and safeguarding (mandatory for nursery roles)
  • High flexibility, adaptability, and a team player mindset
  • Commitment to Bright Horizons’ Values and childcare standards
