Role Description
This is a full-time, on-site Qualified Electrician role based in the United Kingdom. The Qualified Electrician will carry out electrical installations in residential and commercial properties, including wiring, lighting, power systems, and consumer units. Day-to-day tasks include performing maintenance and compliance testing, fault-finding, repairs, and safety inspections in line with UK regulations. The role also involves installing and commissioning EV charging points and solar PV systems, ensuring all work meets industry standards and client expectations. The Qualified Electrician will complete accurate documentation, liaise with customers and site managers, and uphold high standards of health and safety on every job.

Qualifications

- Relevant electrical qualifications such as NVQ Level 3 in Electrical Installation or equivalent, and a valid ECS card or JIB grading.
- Up-to-date knowledge of BS 7671 Wiring Regulations (18th Edition) and experience with inspection, testing, and certification.
- Proven experience in domestic and commercial electrical installations, including fault-finding, maintenance, and repairs.
- Experience or training in EV charger installation and solar PV systems, or strong willingness to develop skills in renewable technologies.
- Strong understanding of health and safety practices, risk assessments, and safe systems of work on-site.
- Ability to read and interpret electrical plans and technical documentation, with good attention to detail and accuracy.
- Effective communication and customer service skills, with the ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
- Full UK driving licence and flexibility to travel to different sites as required.
- Previous experience with electrical contracting or service-based projects is beneficial.
