Qualified Joiner – Full-Time Maintenance Operative (Greater Manchester)
£30,000 per annum
Location: Greater Manchester & North West Hours: Full-Time Reporting Base: Head Office, Stockport (attendance mandatory Monday mornings)
We are seeking pleasant, reliable, flexible, and hardworking, qualified joiners who take pride in their craft to join our team of friendly Maintenance Operatives. Primary focus is on delivering a high-quality first-line maintenance service across our residential portfolio, requiring professionalism and respect toward tenants and homes.
Key Responsibilities
- First-line maintenance across multiple residential sites
- Repair, maintenance, and replacement of wooden fixtures, including:
- Kitchen units impacted by leaks (mitigating potential flooding)
- Doors, frames, and handling tasks (e.g. locks)
- Fine carpentry and finishing work such as sanding, staining, and varnishing
- Assistance to other disciplines/cross-team support as required
- Adherence to On Call Rota contributions (generous pay for callouts, including flat-rate and enhanced payments)
Variance in Engagement
- Monday Stamm Meeting Attendance: Mobile Team gathers at the Head Office, Stockport weekly to coordinate requests.
- Work area: intense shifts across Greater Manchester and North West sites.
- Legally required: Use of company-provided vehicles for work purposes only.

Requirements & Eligibility
- Qualification: Valid Carpentry or Joinery qualification (spannergangs applicants may also apply for progression to certification)
- Licence: Full UK driving licence mandatory
- Experience: Hands-on maintenance of wooden fixtures/content, including finish work (theta pinking, varnishing).
- Flexibility for on-call duties, interior/property access flexibility.
- Personality attributes: professional, self-motivated, highly customer-focused, and physically capable.
