Nursery Lunchtime Assistant

As a Lunchtime Assistant, you'll provide exceptional care, contribute to health and safety practices, and collaborate with our dynamic senior leadership team.

Key Requirements

  • A Level 2 or above qualification in Early Years.
  • Legal right to work in the UK.
  • (Note: This role is not eligible for employer-sponsored work authorization, now or in the future.)

Your Duties

We invite a friendly, spirited individual to join our Leatherhead Nursery as a Lunchtime Assistant.

  • Work approximately 10am to 3pm daily.
  • Deliver exceptional care to support each child’s development and individual needs.
  • Provide flexible, lunchtime-friendly engagement and support to local nurseries.
  • Create enriching environments through engaging indoor and outdoor activities.
  • Align with British Values, Core Advantage, LEAP, and Early Years Foundation Stage principles to ensure holistic development.
  • Strict adherence to child protection and health/safety policies, prioritising safeguarding at all times.

Ideal Candidates

  • Experience in early years education settings with 'Good' or 'Outstanding'* inspection outcomes.
  • Level 2 or above qualification in Early Years (required).
  • Effective collaboration and communication within nursery teams.
  • Record of ongoing training and professional qualifications.
  • Proficient in hygiene standards, room preparation, and decision-making.
  • Experience in food preparation and food management training.
  • Familiarity with child protection and safeguarding policies.
  • Motivated, deadline-driven approach, especially in children’s record-keeping and assessments.
