Kiddie Capers Childcare Hurstpierpoint
Kiddie Capers Childcare Hurstpierpoint is a village-based nursery providing a safe, engaging environment for children aged 0–5. Our baby area is packed with sensory resources, while the preschool space supports creativity, skill development, and school readiness. Staff also lead outdoor learning and exploration, including Forest School sessions, giving children hands-on experiences that build confidence and independence.
Role: Nursery Assistant
As a Nursery Assistant, you will support the nursery team in providing high-quality care and early education for young children. Working alongside experienced staff, you will help create a safe, nurturing, and stimulating environment where children can learn, grow, and thrive. You will assist in following the EYFS framework to support children’s individual development and contribute to building positive relationships with families and colleagues.

Hours & Pay
- 40 hours per week, Monday-Friday, fully flexible
- £8.00-£12.71 per hour (depending on age)

Kiddie Capers Childcare has 13 settings located across Sussex from Ardingly to the South Coast. Owned and operated by two local families, Kiddie Capers Childcare provide a truly enriching early years education, where every child’s potential is reached, and individuality is celebrated.

Requirements
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- An interest or passion for childcare/early years development
- A commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children

Responsibilities
- Provide safe, high-quality care and activities that support individual and group development
- Plan and deliver creative indoor and outdoor play experiences
- Act as key person, monitoring and recording children’s progress
- Follow EYFS guidance and nursery policies
- Work closely with parents/carers
- Prepare and serve meals and snacks, promoting good nutrition and social eating
- Maintain cleanliness of dining areas before and after meals
- Support children with personal care and toileting needs
