About the Role
Monkey Puzzle Loughton are recruiting a Qualified Nursery Practitioner (Level 3 or above): a key role to support their team in providing exceptional early years education and care.
Salary: Starting from £29,120 per annum (dependent on qualification(s) and experience).

Key Responsibilities
- Ensure the nursery performs at a high standard while adhering to all legislation and EYFS frameworks.
- Design inspirational, creative, and effective learning environments tailored to children’s individual needs.
- Maintain safety and welfare protocols, including confident knowledge of safeguarding procedures.
- Implement the EYFS (Early Years Foundation Stage) with expertise in child development.
- Report concerns promptly to senior team members or relevant authorities.
- Collaborate with parents and partners to support children’s holistic growth.
- Maintain a positive, engaging atmosphere for children, parents, and colleagues.

Requirements
Essential Skills & Qualifications
- GCSEs in English, Maths (or equivalents): Grades 5-9 (A-C)
- Valid Level 3 Early Years qualification or equivalent
- Strong understanding of child safeguarding, legislation, and EYFS frameworks
- Excellent behaviour management skills
- Ability to conduct child observations and assessments with confidence
Great to Haves
- Level 2 Early Years qualification (fullery relevant)
- Food Hygiene Level 2 certificate
- Practical knowledge of FGM (Female Genital Mutilation) awareness
- Safeguarding training (ongoing)
- Paediatric First Aid certificate

- DBS (Disclosure & Barring Service) checks – shielding posts from the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act 1974 where necessary (certain protected convictions need disclosure only).
