  • Location: North Benfleet
  • Salary: £46,781 - £53,592 dependent on experience
  • Hours: Full Time 37.5 hours a week
  • Contract: 12 month fixed term contract

Role Summary

Are you looking for a leadership opportunity combined with ongoing clinical experience? We are seeking a compassionate and creative individual to lead and inspire our Trauma Informed Clinical and Forensic Work.

This exciting opportunity is for a HCPC registered Clinical/ Forensic/ Counselling Psychologist. The successful applicant will manage workload within a long term rehabilitation ward consisting of working age men, demonstrating leadership skills and an ability to work with a wide variety of people. As this will be clinical and therapeutic work, it is essential that you have clinical skills and knowledge from the area of trauma as well as a developmental understanding of individuals.

Key Responsibilities

  • Work closely with other psychologists and be supported by an assistant psychologist allocated to the ward.
  • Supervision skills would be beneficial, but are not an essential criteria for this role.
  • Knowledge of trauma-informed care would be advantageous but we are able to provide training in this field in order to utilise DBT and EMDR.
  • The role may extend to supporting other patients with EMDR.
