Volunteer Counselling Supervisor
We’re looking for a Volunteer Counselling Supervisor to provide supervision to our volunteer counsellors. This is a rewarding opportunity to support the wellbeing, development of counsellors while helping us deliver ethical services.

- A qualified counselling supervisor with recognised supervision training.
- An accredited or registered member of a recognised professional body such as the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy (BACP), National Counselling and Psychotherapy Society (NCPS) or UK Council for Psychotherapy (UKCP).
- Experience supervising counsellors working with adults.
- A sound understanding of safeguarding, ethical practice and clinical governance.
- Compassionate, approachable and committed to supporting volunteer counsellors.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide 1.5hrs of clinical supervision to volunteer counsellors in line with professional and ethical standards.
- Support counsellors in managing clinical risk, safeguarding concerns and complex casework.
- Encourage reflective practice and continuous professional development.
- Promote counsellor wellbeing and help identify signs of stress, burnout or compassion fatigue.
- Maintain appropriate supervision records where required.
- Work collaboratively with the Counselling Lead and safeguarding team when necessary.
- Flexible remote volunteering around your availability.

What will you be doing?
As a Volunteer Counselling Supervisor, you will provide supportive, reflective and restorative supervision to a small group of volunteer counsellors. You’ll help ensure safe and ethical practice, encourage professional development, and provide guidance on complex client work, safeguarding and self-care. You will offer 1.5hrs of monthly supervision.
