- Salary: Negotiable (PAYE, including holiday pay)
- Start Date: Monday 16th March 2026
- Working Hours: 8:30 AM – 4:00 PM, Monday to Friday (Term-time only)
About the Role
We are searching for a dedicated, qualified teacher with experience in supporting children/young people with complex needs, spanning:
- Learning difficulties
- Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASC)
- Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD)
- Social Emotional and Mental Health (SEMH) challenges
This school specialises in high-support environments, particularly where behavioural needs are prevalent. Success in this role requires a calm, authoritative, and adaptive approach—Strong ability to set and maintain boundaries, implement psychological strategies, and foster structured yet engaging learning environments.
Key Responsibilities
Controlled Mood:
- Deliver creative, differentiated lessons for small groups of pupils with complex needs
- Implement de-escalation techniques to prevent and manage behavioural challenges
- Work collaboratively with SENCOs and multidisciplinary teams to personalise behaviour plans and safeguarding strategies

Social-Educational Support:
- Ensure pupil safety and inclusion during unstructured times (e.g. breaktimes/lunches and transition periods)
Essential Criteria
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) with experience teaching pupils aged 5–18* in specialised SEND contexts
- Welsh Authority teachers qualify
- Full-time commitment (Monday–Friday)
- Right to work in the UK (No sponsorship available)
- Active DBS (Disclosure & Barring Service) check: either on Update Service or willing to obtain one within 20 days of placement.
- Note: If a non-voluntary enhanced DBS is required, the cost £62.70 will be refunded once you’ve worked with us for 20 days.
