Role Overview

We are looking to recruit a Qualified Trade Mark Attorney to join our award-winning Trade Mark Team, based in either our London or Nottingham office, on a fixed-term maternity contract for approximately 12 months. Our recruitment focus is on identifying candidates with the potential to grow and succeed as world-leading IP professionals. We are a fully inclusive employer and invest heavily in our EDI and wellness of the team.

About Us

We are one of the largest full-service intellectual property practices in Europe, with over 80 patent and trade mark professionals and 12 IP solicitors, who are expertly assisted by over 100 support staff working together in our Nottingham, London, Copenhagen, and Stockholm offices. We continue to act directly at the EUIPO following Brexit.

The firm is consistently ranked in the top tier of major legal guides, such as Legal 500 and MIP. We were awarded MIP’s UK Trade Mark Prosecution firm of the year for 2020 and 2021. Unlike most UK patent and trade mark firms, we also hold three independent ISO accreditations which show the high level of service provision, information security, and environmental awareness that we have.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
