Quality Advisor – Power Transmission & Distribution (T&D) Team

About The Role

We’re seeking a Quality Advisor to join our Power Transmission & Distribution (T&D) team, supporting the delivery of the Tod Point development in Redcar.

As someone passionate about quality, who thrives in a fast-paced project environment and wants to make a real impact in critical energy infrastructure, this opportunity is for you.


What You’ll Be Doing

As a Quality Advisor, you’ll play a pivotal role in embedding a Right First Time culture across our T&D operations on this significant infrastructure project.

Your duties will include:

  • Supporting project teams in:

    • Developing and implementing Quality Plans and Inspection & Test Plans (ITPs)
    • Ensuring quality requirements are met across the supply chain and delivery partners
    • Monitoring and reporting on project quality KPIs
    • Implementing quality control and assurance processes to guarantee works meet design specifications and contractual requirements
    • Advising teams on digital quality and governance systems
  • Leading:

    • Internal audits
    • Supporting external certification audits
  • Supporting:

    • The handover of quality documentation and project deliverables
    • Delivering quality training and development across project teams
  • Driving:

    • Continuous improvement initiatives
    • Sharing of best practices
    • Investigations into quality-related issues and implementing corrective and preventative actions

Who We’re Looking For

We’re searching for a collaborative and detail-oriented quality professional with experience in infrastructure, power, or construction, able to influence teams to deliver high-quality standards.

You’ll Have:

  • Experience in a quality management role within:
    • Construction
    • Energy
    • Utilities
    • Major infrastructure projects
  • A Level 4 qualification or above in:
    • Quality
    • Construction
    • Engineering
    • Manufacturing
    • A related discipline
  • Membership of the Chartered Quality Institute (CQI) at:
    • Affiliate level (ACQI) or above, or
    • Working towards membership
  • ISO 9001:2015 Internal Auditor certification
  • Strong stakeholder engagement and communication skills
  • An analytical mindset, with the ability to:
    • Identify, investigate, and resolve quality issues
  • An understanding of:
    • Change management
    • Continuous improvement methodologies
