We are seeking a motivated and ambitious Quality Advisor to join our team working on National Grid's Great Grid Upgrade (GGP) - PC Route Framework. In this role, you will support the successful delivery of a diverse portfolio of exciting projects that are critical to the UK's energy infrastructure.
This is an excellent opportunity for someone looking to further develop their quality management expertise, broaden their experience within a major infrastructure programme, and take on increasing levels of responsibility as part of a supportive and high-performing team.
Role Responsibilities
- Support the implementation and continual improvement of quality processes in line with ISO 9001, client requirements, and the Integrated Management System (IMS).
- Provide quality advice and guidance to project and operational teams to promote best practice and minimise business risk.
- Promote a culture of quality, continuous improvement, and right-first-time delivery across projects.
- Monitor, collate, analyse, and report quality performance data, identifying trends, opportunities for improvement, and lessons learned.
- Assist with quality audits, assurance reviews, and investigations, ensuring actions are tracked through to completion.
- Support the development and delivery of business and project improvement plans.
- Produce and maintain quality KPI reports and dashboards, providing clear and accurate commentary on performance.
- Promote the effective use of root cause analysis and corrective actions to address non-conformances and drive continuous improvement.
- Ensure compliance with internal procedures, project requirements, and industry standards, providing coaching and support where required.
- Encourage awareness of customer requirements and quality expectations throughout the project lifecycle.
- Maintain accurate quality records and support the effective management of quality documentation.
Skills, Experience And Qualifications
- Understanding of quality management systems and the principles of ISO 9001.
- Internal Auditor or Lead Auditor qualification to ISO 9001 (desirable).
- Experience within construction, civil engineering, utilities, infrastructure, or a related industry (desirable).
- Knowledge of quality assurance, quality control, and continuous improvement methodologies.
- Understanding of risk management principles (desirable).
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret data, identify trends, and make practical recommendations.
- Experience producing KPI reports, dashboards, and performance metrics (desirable).
- Proficient in Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, with the confidence to provide guidance and challenge where appropriate.
- Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities effectively.
- Full UK driving licence and willingness to travel to project and office locations as required.
- Motivated and initiative-taking with a willingness to learn and develop.
- Strong diligence and commitment to delivering high-quality work.
- Collaborative collaborator with a positive and professional approach.
- Passion for continuous improvement and driving operational excellence.

We have extensive experience in upgrading and replacing energy networks, delivering asset management for major UK energy companies and network operators.
Our transmission and distribution services involve the upgrading and replacement of electricity assets both above and below ground. Within the electricity sector we install and maintain assets, including excavation, laying, and jointing of cables, (fluid filled and XLPe), substations and overhead line, new build, repair, and refurbishment services.
