About The Role
We are seeking a Quality Manager to take charge of quality assurance (QA) operations, supply chain oversight, and compliance leadership at Blue Arrow – Bellshill.
As a critical role, the successful candidate will:
- Oversee all quality assurance processes, ensuring food safety, compliance, and operational excellence.
- Lead continuous improvement initiatives to enhance product quality and drive efficiency.
- Act as a technical and operational leader, safeguarding consumer confidence and company reputation.
- Work across multiple departments, aligning quality standards with both internal and regulatory requirements.

Qualifications
- Industry experience: Proven track record in FMCG, preferably bottling/manufacturing, with expertise in HACCP, ISO standards, and quality engineering operations.
- Technical skills:
- Proficiency in Excel, report writing, and data analysis tools (e.g., statistical process control).
- Strong knowledge of modern QA methodologies (e.g., ISO 9001, HACCP).
- Leadership & communication:
- Experience managing quality systems, auditing (GMP, Bacardi systems), and cross-functional teams.
- Superior interpersonal skills with the ability to thrive in matrix organisational structures.
- Certifications: Desirable (e.g., food safety, quality management systems).
- Soft skills: Problem-solving, partnership-building, and proactive improvement mindset.
Key Responsibilities
Operational Leadership
- Provide technical accountability for resolving quality issues across operations and the supply chain.
- Enforce compliance with company and regulatory standards, including HACCP, traceability, and recall procedures.
Audit & Improvement
- Conduct internal audits of HACCP, GMP, Bacardi Operating System, and procedural compliance.
- Develop and track improvement initiatives tied to quality metrics, ensuring sustainability.

Quality Risk Management
- Oversee Non-Conformance Report (NCR) systems, enabling timely resolution and trend analysis.
- Identify and lead quality improvement projects based on audit findings and NCR data.
Stakeholder Collaboration
- Partner with cross-functional teams to integrate quality into daily operations and strategic planning.
- Maintain and analyse records on metrics, audits, and improvements for regulatory compliance.
