About Keplin Group Limited
Keplin Group Limited is a fast-growing UK-based FMCG group managing and distributing over 11 consumer brands across home, travel, lifestyle, and general merchandise categories. Supplying major UK and international retailers, marketplaces, and trade customers, we operate across multi-channel platforms including Amazon Vendor & Seller Central, retail partnerships, and international distribution.
With global manufacturing partnerships and an expanding product portfolio, quality, compliance, and product safety are central to our brand reputation and long-term growth. We are now seeking a commercially aware and technically strong Quality Specialist to strengthen our product assurance and supplier compliance function.
Role Overview
The Quality Specialist will play a critical role in safeguarding product integrity, regulatory compliance, and supplier performance across Keplin’s diverse product range. This position ensures that all products meet UK, EU, and international safety standards while supporting continuous improvement across our supply chain.
Working closely with Buying, Technical, Compliance, Operations, and external manufacturing partners, you will act as a key gatekeeper for product quality and documentation accuracy.
Key Responsibilities
Product Compliance & Documentation
- Review and manage the completeness and accuracy of technical documentation including:
- Declarations of Conformity (DoC)
- Test reports
- Risk assessments
- Technical files
- Material specifications
- Ensure all products meet relevant UK and EU legislation (e.g., General Product Safety Regulations, REACH, RoHS, CA Prop 65 where applicable).
- Maintain structured internal records and compliance databases.
Product Evaluation & Testing
- Review supplier samples against submission documentation and approved specifications.
- Conduct in-house product testing where applicable and document findings.
- Provide structured, technical feedback to suppliers and internal teams.
- Identify non-conformities and manage corrective action processes.

Supplier Quality & Continuous Improvement
- Work closely with international suppliers to:
- Implement and maintain product performance standards
- Drive corrective and preventative action (CAPA)
- Ensure timely approvals before production and shipment
- Use data insights and risk management principles to identify trends and reduce recurring quality issues.
- Contribute to supplier performance scorecards and audits.
Risk Management & Insight
- Apply technical knowledge to new product development and product change projects.
- Conduct supplier and product risk assessments.
- Analyse returns data, customer feedback, and quality incidents to identify improvement opportunities.
- Support root cause investigations and preventative measures.
Cross-Functional Collaboration
- Engage with Buying, Operations, Warehouse, Marketing, and Customer Service teams to maintain a clear understanding of product safety and quality expectations.
- Provide internal guidance on compliance requirements during product development.
- Support commercial teams by balancing business objectives with regulatory obligations.

Mandatory Experience, Skills & Qualifications
- Degree (or equivalent) in Scientific Engineering, Product Technology, Quality Management, or a related field within consumer or household goods.
- Technical experience within Manufacturing, Quality Assurance, Retail, or FMCG environments.
- Experience working with both internal stakeholders and external international suppliers.
- Strong attention to detail with structured documentation control capability.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
- Ability to collect, organise, analyse data and draw meaningful conclusions.
- Strong analytical skills with excellent written reporting capability.
- Understanding of UK/EU product safety legislation (highly desirable).
