Quality and Information Lead – HS2 Track Team
Department: Quality Assurance & Systems Location: London or Birmingham based (Hybrid arrangements may apply) Reports to: Project Director Scope: Works across design, fabrication, construction, and testing & commissioning to ensure compliance with HS2 assurance processes, while aligning with company policies and Health & Safety/Quality Assurance standards.

Key Role Responsibilities

Oversee project Management Systems, Quality Assurance, and certification for an HS2 Track Contract.

Manage information and data workflows, including the Common Data Environment and IT infrastructure.

Develop, implement, deploy, and maintain project JV management systems.

Quality Management:
- Ensure adherence to contractual and regulatory standards.
- Lead site operations to execute projects on time and within budget.

Information Management:
- Ensure compliance with Electronic Document Management Systems (EDMS), integrated with BIM 3D models.
- Oversee software deployments and digital tooling for BIM & IT environments.

Training & Development:
- Develop and implement training programs for modern information management systems and processes.

Auditing & Compliance:
- Conduct and lead audits to certify compliance with:
- ISO 9001 (Quality Management)
- ISO 19650 (BIM Collaboration)
- ISO 44001 (Supply Chain)
- ISO 27001 (Information Security)
- Maintain the project’s JV certification.
- Conduct and lead audits to certify compliance with:

Internal Audits:
- Conduct and support system improvements in QA and Information Management processes.

Reporting & Analytics:
- Develop and maintain Power BI and other analytical tools to track project KPIs.
- Provide strategic insights across all disciplines.

Collaboration & Cross-Functional Coordination:
- Partner with JV internal teams, client stakeholders, IT, and supply chain leads.
Key Skills & Qualifications

Degree: Bachelor’s or equivalent in construction management, quality management, information technology, or related field.

Experience:
- Substantial infrastructure project experience, with senior leadership roles in construction QA systems.
- Prior setup of management systems in design & build environments (e.g., BIM rollouts).
- Experience in Highways for Stars (HS2) or UK infrastructure programmes is a plus.
- Familiarity with HS2 contractual frameworks, offsite fabrication processes, and UK rail standards.

Technical Skills:
- Know-how on digital tools: Building Information Modelling (BIM), AI integration, Power BI, and project tracking software.
- IT/IS management experience with digital transformation strategies.

Regulatory Knowledge:
- Solid understanding of Health & Safety Legislation (e.g., HSWA, ISEGMA).

Leadership & Soft Skills:
- Strong collaborative, communicative, and organisational skills.
- Ability to interface at all levels within the organisation and externally with stakeholders.
- Proven track record of innovative problem-solving.
