Key Tasks and Accountabilities
Technical Delivery
- Oversee quality inspection and control activities on site
- Own the project quality and handover strategies
- Line manager to quality inspectors and handover/completion engineers
- Monitor and inspect works for compliance to quality specifications.
- Liaise with the Project Managers, Agents and Sub Agents and delivery team engineers, internal quality team and Client Surveillance team and quality representatives.
- Implement and ensure adherence to project procedures, scope, specification, Project Execution Plan (PEP), Project Quality Plan and British/ International Standards.
- Develop or improve processes and procedures as per parent company systems and specific client / contract requirements.
- Monitor the requirements of product traceability, including product movements, physical product checks, delivery ticket and Certificate of Conformity checks, and approving products for use onsite, material acceptance forms (MAF).
- Manage the Inspection Test Plans (ITP) process. Review ITPs and ensure they are being followed and supporting evidence is up to date.
- Review of quality documentation, including Lifetime Quality Records, End of Construction Records (ECSR), Product Approval Records and project procedures, RAMS.
- Oversee testing operations (lab testing), testing frequencies and results against project requirements.
- Support identification and rectification of Non-Conformances
- Deliver quality related briefings and training
- Manage compliance via programme of audits and surveillance for system / subcontractors / suppliers activities assist with closure of corrective actions.
- Assist the Chief Engineer

Essential Requirements
- Knowledge and practical application of quality management activities in construction. Previous experience managing quality in a construction environment (Building, Structures, Civil / Infrastructure projects, earthworks, networks),
- HND or Degree equivalent in Construction or related subject,
- Strong knowledge of civil design standards, and construction methods. Ability to interpret engineering drawings and specifications,
- Computer literate; ability to keep clear and accurate records and produce reports,
- Construction Skills Certification Scheme (CSCS) card,
- Strong communication skills.

Desirable
- Familiar in using Technology / Digital Tools such as Power BI tool, BIM 360 Field, Dalux, Field View for reporting, Quality records management.
- Experience in a nuclear environment with understanding of the Nuclear Safety requirements.
- Digital information and modelling knowledge
- ISO 9001 training
- Achievement of, or working towards, professional quality qualification;
