We have an opportunity for a Quality & Safeguarding Lead to join the Bi-Borough Alcohol Service as a secondment for seven months, supporting the Leadership Team in shaping and delivering a high quality and compliant service.
This role is both dynamic and impactful, focused on driving quality improvements across our service with a clear focus on safeguarding. You will be responsible for conducting regular audits, identifying best practices, implementing quality improvement plans, and evaluating their impact. You will also stay informed on the latest sector developments, including evidence-based practices and legislation change. You will also have responsibility for upholding robust safeguarding practices and work closely with safeguarding partners across the borough.

Full Time Hours: 37.5 per week
Contract Type: Fixed Term until the 31st of March 2027
Responsibilities
About the role:
- Be required to improve quality which will include creating and undertaking regular, cyclical audits of all aspects of service delivery and governance, with a focus on safeguarding.
- Identify areas of good practice and areas that need improving and formulate robust action plans.
- Implement these plans with all relevant staff, including leaders and front-line staff and will set up evaluation mechanisms to understand ‘what works’; impact of action plans in improving practice.
- Act as the services Designated Safeguarding Lead to ensure that the effective identification, assessment and management of risk and compliance with relevant legislation and policy and procedures are upheld across both services.
- Provide coroner and CQC reports on behalf of the service when requested
- Support the analysis of service user feedback, complaints, and compliments, identifying themes, and developing/implementing service improvements in line with this

About you:
- Experience of working in Social Care and the Drug and Alcohol field
- Knowledge and understanding of the recovery ethos
- Excellent organisational skills including time/energy management and the ability to prioritise both dynamically and longer-term
- Excellent knowledge of safeguarding of both adults and children
- Experience of conducting audits and reviews to inform evaluation of the service and identify areas for development
- The ability to analyse data, to prioritise problem/improvement areas and to define next steps, taking the team with you
- Experience of training groups with differing needs using a range of styles such as coaching and interactive workshops

Full-time hours at Change Grow Live are 37.5 hours per week. For part-time roles, the salary and payments will be pro rata based on contracted hours.
Salary Range (pro rata if part time)
- CGL points 31 to 33 (£36,101.10 - £38,114.53)
- Inner London Weighting (£4,236.47)
