We are currently looking for a Quality Assurance Advisor to join our growing Nuclear team, supporting the delivery of one of the UK's most exciting nuclear infrastructure projects. This is a fantastic opportunity to play a key role within a high-profile programme, helping to maintain the highest standards of quality, compliance, and assurance in a highly regulated environment. You will work closely with programme delivery teams, conducting audit and assurance activities across a wide range of disciplines while gaining valuable experience and excellent career development opportunities.

Role Responsibilities

  • Support quality assurance and quality control processes across projects and services to ensure the consistent delivery of exacting standards.
  • Plan and undertake audit and assurance activities across construction and project delivery functions.
  • Conduct inspections and audits of systems, processes and operational activities against established standards, procedures, and contractual requirements.
  • Prepare clear, accurate and timely audit reports, identifying findings, opportunities for improvement and areas of best practice.
  • Deliver training and awareness sessions to support continual improvement and compliance across programme teams.
  • Monitor corrective actions and support teams in implementing effective improvements.
  • Collaborate with SHEQS and operational teams to promote a culture of quality, compliance, and continuous improvement.
  • Contribute to assurance activities within a highly regulated nuclear environment, ensuring adherence to both internal and external requirements.

Skills, Experience And Qualifications

  • Experience as an Auditor or Lead Auditor within construction, engineering, infrastructure, or a related industry.
  • Proven experience conducting audit and assurance activities across construction-related activities at Lead Auditor level.
  • Strong knowledge of auditing systems, processes, and assurance methodologies.
  • Excellent report-writing, analytical and communication skills.
  • Ability to engage confidently with stakeholders at all levels and provide constructive challenge where required.
  • Experience delivering training, briefings, or awareness sessions.
  • An initiative-taking approach to problem-solving and continuous improvement.
  • Relevant vocational qualification or equivalent professional experience.
  • CQI (Chartered Quality Institute) qualification or membership.
  • Experience working within a regulated environment, ideally nuclear, defence, infrastructure, or a similarly safety-critical sector.
  • Experience supporting SHEQS (Safety, Health, Environment, Quality and Sustainability) activities and management systems.
