We have a new vacancy for a Quality Assurance Engineer to be based at our site in Shipley, Bradford.

Your Mission in CMbE
We are seeking a Quality Assurance Engineer to join our team in Shipley (Bradford). There will be a need for travel between our two main sites and occasional supplier visits. Reporting to the Quality Assurance Lead, Quality Assurance Engineers will be responsible for facilitating business functions to ensure they operate in ways which meet the needs of the business and achieve its ‘Quality Commitment / Policy’.
The successful candidates will act with integrity and promote our ‘Total Quality’ ethos which involves always putting customers at the heart of every task. This involves resolving customer complaints in a timely manner and investigating internal and external manufacturing/assembly non-conformances using 8D / 5 Whys. The ideal candidates will facilitate non-conformance review meetings which will help drive continuous improvement. They will have knowledge of ISO 9001/14001 and 45001 certifications, complete internal auditing of IMS and proactively improve internal systems through enterprise change management.

About You
The successful candidates should have detailed working knowledge of mechanical/manufacturing engineering practices and sound knowledge of production techniques such as machining, fabrication, welding, and casting. Candidates should at a minimum be HND qualified, hold an engineering degree or equivalent, or have time-served experience working in engineering roles. Experience of working in a similar manufacturing environment is desirable, along with having experience in internal/external and supplier auditing.

The ideal candidate will have excellent communication skills, communicating with all levels of the organization, and be able to be fluent in all Microsoft Office packages. We would like applicants to have the ability to read/interpret engineering drawings and be able to work under pressure while remaining agile, based on changing priorities. Lean six-sigma greenbelt is preferred.
