Vacancy – Quality Assurance Lead

CILEX Law School invites applications for a Quality Assurance Lead to play a pivotal role in maintaining and enhancing the quality of our apprenticeship and professional CILEX qualification provision.

The successful candidate will possess substantial experience in quality assurance within education, training, apprenticeships, or a professional learning environment. They will have a strong understanding of quality standards, assessment practice, apprenticeship delivery, and continuous improvement. The successful individual will work closely with academic, delivery, and leadership teams to ensure our programmes deliver an outstanding learner experience and meet all internal and external quality requirements.

Person Specification

Applicants will be expected to demonstrate:

  • Strong knowledge of apprenticeship standards, End-Point Assessment requirements, and apprenticeship programme delivery
  • Knowledge and understanding of Apprenticeship Funding Rules and the Ofsted Education Inspection Framework
  • Experience of conducting quality reviews, observations, assessment sampling, and providing constructive developmental feedback
  • The ability to analyse evidence and data to make objective, evidence-based quality assurance judgements
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including report writing and presenting findings clearly to stakeholders
  • The ability to build and maintain effective professional relationships across academic, operational, and leadership teams
  • Strong organisational skills, with the ability to manage competing priorities and deliver against deadlines
  • A commitment to continuous improvement and enhancing the learner experience
  • Experience of supporting standardisation activities and promoting best practice across teams
  • A commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of learners
  • An understanding of legal education, legal apprenticeships, or professional qualifications such as CPQ (desirable)

Applicants should hold:

  • A Level 4 IQA qualification (or be working towards one)
  • A law degree or CILEX qualification is desirable

This is a full-time, permanent position.

FTE Salary £38,000

Successful candidates for roles within the regulated part of the business must undergo DBS and background checks as part of the hire process.
