Location: Eye, Near Diss, Suffolk Hours: Monday to Friday, 07:00 - 16:00 Salary: Circa £50,000
We have a fantastic opportunity for a Quality Assurance Manager to join our ambitious technical team at C&K Meats.
About the Role
As our new Quality Assurance Manager, you will be responsible for leading and motivating a team of around four colleagues. This role is crucial for driving Good Manufacturing Practice (GMP) standards and improved audit results across our site. You will work collaboratively with operational teams and agree on solutions together.
Reporting to our Head of Technical, you will oversee the daily management of the Quality department and its related functions, as well as develop site standards to ensure product quality and safety are maintained.

- Be a champion for the Food Safety Culture Action Plan
- Drive environmental hygiene standards on site, serving as the primary contact for the contract hygiene team and liaising with hygiene product suppliers
- Perform internal auditing against BRCGS and customer Code of Practices, identifying and correcting non-conformances
- Manage and maintain scheduled GMP, Fabric & Glass, and Plastic audits
- Manage and maintain the non-conforming product log, ensuring timely corrective actions are taken and recorded, working closely with stakeholders to resolve issues
- Liaise with production colleagues in the preparation of product launch documentation
- Assist in managing traceability and mass balance exercises and schedules
- Coordinate customer complaint investigations, formulate responses, and develop corrective action plans
- Conduct shop floor presence and provide day-to-day support to our QA team

Requirements
We are looking for a candidate with:
- Demonstrable experience in a food manufacturing quality role, including team management
- HACCP Level 3
- Internal Auditor Level 3 (preferred)
- CIEH Level 3 Food Safety for Manufacturing
- Strong IT, literacy and numeracy skills
- Excellent communication skills
