This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced care and support professional to join our Learning Disability Provider Services as a Quality Assurance Manager.

About The Role

This role will take the lead in ensuring all of our services including our CQC registered Supported Living and Shared Lives provision are achieving high standards. We are introducing audit planning and online care planning and support recording. This role will ensure services use those platforms to their best effect in enabling us to do the most important thing helping people to be as independent as possible and live the lives they want to live. This role will also take a lead with regards to the planning of training and staff development and is expected to be able to act as a Positive Behaviour Support trainer (training will be provided for that role). The person will be responsible for supporting sites in the event of CQC inspection or internal audit and will take a lead on ensuring the evidence required is available when requested without disruption to our service. An example of this is creating and updating Action Plans as a result of audits or inspections. This role will also support the future planning of our services, monitoring Social Care Institute for Excellence and CQC best practice guidance and keeping updated with sector developments. The person will work collaboratively with the Provider Services manager to ensure the quality of our support, the physical spaces we use and the relevance of our training are right for not only the current people using our services but also capable of supporting the young people we will see coming through to our offering. This role will have responsibility for line management of some staff. The person will be expected to act as a registered manager in the event of one of the permanent managers being off long-term or as temporary cover while a role is recruited to.

About You

To apply you will have:

  • Experience as a CQC registered manager, Quality & Improvement Lead, CQC inspector or any comparable role.
  • Experience in multiple service models including services supporting people who have learning disabilities and autism.
  • A Level 5 diploma in Health & Social Care Leadership or similar qualification.
  • A passion for developing excellent, innovative services.
