Quality Assurance Manager

Key Accountabilities

  • Own and maintain the Commercial Mortgage QA Framework.
  • Ensure QA processes remain aligned with regulatory expectations and business risk appetite.
  • Develop QA quality scorecards and produce insightful MI dashboards for Managers.
  • Conduct regular QA reviews of Commercial Mortgage Underwriting files across all product lines.
  • Review quality and completeness of Credit assessments and supporting documentation.
  • Support maintenance and enhancement of underwriting procedure and quality framework.
  • Assess adherence to Underwriting policy, delegated authorities and lending criteria.
  • Complete QA reporting and identify trends, risks and improvement opportunities.
  • Monitor compliance with AML, KYC, Sanctions screening, source of wealth and source of funds requirements.
  • Ensure customer, director and beneficial ownership verification requirements are completed and evidenced on file.
  • Escalate material findings through appropriate governance forums.
  • Provide feedback and coaching to Case Management and Underwriting Teams.
  • Produce regular MI and QA reports for management.
  • Support Internal and External audit activities and regulatory reviews.
  • Assist in delivering training on underwriting standards, AML, KYC and regulatory requirements.

Knowledge & Qualifications

Quality Assurance Experience

  • Previous Underwriting experience is preferable (but not essential) within a Financial Services organisation.
  • Good knowledge of Word and Excel.

Personal Attributes

  • Calm and self-assured.
  • Punctual.
  • Able to work under pressure.
