Role Overview
The Quality Technician (or equivalent) role is based at Penston. Reporting to the Technical Manager, the postholder ensures product quality, authenticity, legality, and food safety, delivering high-standard products to our customers.

Responsibilities

Quality & Compliance Checks:
- Perform Quality, Legal & HACCP checks at specified intervals
- Follow all procedures consistently and record checks promptly

Non-Conformance Reporting:
- Report any non-conformances through internal channels for prompt action
- Inform Senior QA & Technical staff of Food Safety & Quality issues

Sample Collection & Testing:
- Collect samples for pannel and micro testing as required
- Submit samples to laboratory for analysis

Standard Monitoring:
- Track deviations from Company or Customer Quality Standards
- Alert line management of any out-of-specification product or evaluation gaps

Hygiène & Fabrication Audits:
- Conduct hygiene assessments, Good Manufacturing Practice (GMP) & Production Audits at scheduled intervals
- Monitor resolution of raised issues

Finished Product Control:
- Ensure compliance with company procedures and visual standards for product quality
- Report non-compliant product for review
