This role is a remote quality assurance opportunity for a professional who can evaluate and refine search and AI outputs—directly impacting leading global AI and search technologies.
About the Role
A day in the life of this Senior Rater focused on ensuring AI assigns appropriate scores to varied search questions across diverse subjects:
- Critically assess results to maintain high standards
- Research findings to validate facts
- Flag gaps in rating guidelines
- Provide feedback to refine rating systems and processes
Key Responsibilities
- Assess AI and search outputs – Review for quality, relevance, accuracy, and user satisfaction
- Perform online verification – Deep-dive research to confirm factual claims
- Apply structured evaluation – Consistently follow TELUS Digital’s quality guidelines
- Identify edge cases – Point out inconsistencies in task design or guideline logic
- Document findings – Provide clear, rationale-based feedback when required
- Engage in calibration – Participate in quality assurance training and refresher exercises

Role Pay & Profitability
- Hourly rate: £17.40 GBP (paid per completed task)
- Flexible, dynamic workload designed for professionals with strong analytical skills
Qualification Path
- Progression is through initial training followed by qualification assessments
- Ongoing output is subject to regular performance reviews
Job Requirements
Must-Haves:
- Independent contractor with fluent English (written & spoken) communication skills
- UK resident for the last 5 consecutive years (for tax/eligibility purposes)
- A highly discerning reader: deep familiarity with current and historical:

- Social Media & Cultural Trends
- Strong analytical skills, fine attention to detail, and research abilities
- Expertise using:
- Modern web browsers
- Search engines
- Advanced digital research tools
- Access to a reliable broadband connection, smartphone, and personal computer daily
- Evidence of strong prior research experience (from work, freelance, or personal projects)
- Self-discipline & consistency: ability to apply detailed guidelines autonomously with rigorous accuracy
